Trademark was the private label brand offered by Almo Distributing Co., "a $122 million regional wholesaler seeking a national presence, [who] started configuring its own systems more than two years ago", according to Computer Reseller News (4 December 1995).

In 1999, billion dollar distributor Bell Microproducts, knowing a good acquisition when they see one, purchased the computer division of Almo, and has decided to continue with the Trademark line, due to its success and dedicated base of resellers.

These are not systems that we assemble in our basement from separate components. Each complete system carries a full three year depot warranty. Almo is a thirty year old company. They have successfully been selling all brands of computers and peripherals virtually since the industry began, and they do not depend solely on the success of their private label, Trademark. Trademark uses the same high quality components as the so-called "name brands", as evidenced by their use of the latest "Plug & Play" BIOS chip, a larger than typical power supply, and a CPU fan made with ball bearings (even some well known brand names use a CPU fan with a less durable bushing in place of actual bearings).

Fortunately, all this quality does not carry a price premium.
