This page has been designed to allow you to select, cafeteria style, all of the necessary components of a wooden hot tub system. It's also ideal for someone who is building their own spa or hot tub vessel and needs a complete support system to go with it, and you can use this page to price any separate components you might need for an existing system, too.

A complete spa or hot tub system is a complicated amalgam of assorted components from various manufacturers, but it's all conveniently tied together for you here. We've been designing hot tub systems for over two decades, so you get our experience with your purchase. We supply complete instructions enabling the average homeowner to integrate all the components without any special tools or skills.

To build a complete wooden hot tub system, first select your tub and benches below, and then to create the support system components - a pump, a filter , a heater, a jet set , a control set and a plumbing kit. Then select any options or accessories you wish to add to your system.

At the very bottom of this page, you will find an "Add it Up" button. Clicking on this button will display a page with just your selected components and the total price. If you wish to make any changes, feel free to hit your back button to do so. On the second page, you will also have the option to e-mail us your list to request a quote on freight. You are under no obligation to make a purchase.

Cedar Benches
Cedar Tubs are available with a wide variety of bench styles and configurations. With round tubs, you have a choice of slab or circular benches. Oval tubs are available with slab benches only.

You may wish to have some "standing space" along a certain part of the circumference of the tub, so benches are offered singly. For slab benches, you can purchase a maximum of three for 5', 6' and 7' diameter round tubs, up to four for 8' diameter round tubs, and no more than two for 3' or 4' diameter round tubs and all oval shaped tubs.

For circular benches, a total of eight sections will result in all around seating for 5' and 6' diameter tubs, and for all around seating on 7' and 8' diameter tubs, a total of twelve circular bench sections would be needed.

Teak Benches

PUMPS

Typically match pump size to number of jets by using four per HP or fraction thereof, although pumps close to the tub can accommodate more jets than this.

All pumps are single phase and dual speed. Single speed and other voltages are available. Full service pumps have integral hair and lint strainers (trap), unity service pumps typically do not. Full service pumps can be located remotely, unity service pumps must be located right next to the tub, or performance will suffer.

Jacuzzi Bros. and Sta-Rite brand pumps are high head and rated for outdoor use, but the Aquaflo brand pumps must be located indoors or under cover from the weather.

60 Hz. will work in the U.S., Canada and many other places in the western hemisphere, 50 Hz. is required for Europe and some other places. If you're not sure about your electricity, contact your local utility or send us an e-mail.
